Cleantech Transit, Inc. is in the business of producing and conserving power. Cleantech Transit produces and sells clean electricity globally, with a focus on sustainable energies using renewable resources such as Geothermal, Solar and Wind. Cleantech Transit's goal is to use innovative technologies to reduce electricity consumption and dependence on carbon based energy. Cleantech Transit, Inc. was founded in 2006 and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Biomass covers a wide range of organic materials which can be used to generate energy. Depending on location within the world, different forms of biomass are available naturally, and when growing biomass certain crops perform better under certain conditions. Forms of biomass which occur naturally in volume are forests and native grasses. Other forms of biomass are generated by working the land. For example agriculture generates large volumes of biomass, often regarded as a waste from food crop production. There are large volumes of wheat and barley straw left over, before it was made illegal this straw was simply burnt in the field. However the straw can be processed into fuel pellets to be used in pellet stoves and boilers.
